Masculine Get Well Card

This is a great masculine! I used Karen Burniston’s Clock & Gear and Spiral Pull Card dies this masculine card.

When the card is ajar, the gears are sprung at you.

I made it so that the springs are sprung out at you to make that the inside of the clock is broken.

I’m located in Vancouver, BC, Canada and serving the Greater Vancouver area and across Canada via VIRTUAL STAMPIN’ fun in the MAIL.
Happy Stampin’, Liz

Little Nugget Purses

Measurements are 5-1/2″ x 1-1/2″. Scored at 4″, 2-1/2″ and 1-1/2″.

After you cut your card stock dimension of 5 ½ x 1 ½, start from top and measure down to 1 ½” and score then measure to 2 ½” and score then at 4”.  Stamp, using a background stamp or anything you can come up with!  Fold at all score lines.  At the top center, place your brad or rhinestone.   On the last score line punch two 1/16” holes directly on the score line this is where your ribbon or cord will be.  The ribbon size is up to you. Tie a knot in the inside to hold it in place.  Place a sticky dot on the back of the brad to close the purse.  I use Hershey nuggets chocolates to place inside it should fit perfect.  You can also stamp an address label and wrap that around the chocolate to make it very fancy.

Mini Double Folds – Gift Card

OMGooooddness. Taking a video and editing is one of the hardest/challenging things I ever have done. The 1st AUUUUGGH I had to learn this on my own so it took me all day from 2:00 pm yesterday to now to get this going. The 2nd AUUUUGGH is that I had uninstall the video program and reinstall the editing program. After doing this, for some unknown reason, the uninstalled took out my Stampin’Up! files. Yup, you got it, all my Stampin’Up! files. All my collections of templates, SVG files, PDF files, etc … all gone … just like that!!! And the question, why I didn’t have a backup …. 3rd AUUUUGGH.

You know worse part about it, I have another external drive which I bought and have not had any time to install it. What is the big deal, it is just a plug and play. It just time. Time is something I was short of in November because of all the shows I have been doing. It is a learned!! OMG …. 4th AUUUUGGH again.

Anyways, I have finally finished this video for you. I apologize for some of the editing but it is pretty good given that it is my first time editing it. Now that I know how to do the editing, and rendering in time will be faster. Hope you enjoy it. It is a mini double fold gift card. This was Jessie’s swap and I asked where she got the template. This idea came from Jan Farring’s website.

Stampers+ Team Christmas Party

Hello SP Fans,

Last night was our annual StampersPlus Christmas party!! What a great time we all had! Paper crafting exchange, yummy food, and wonderful team/friends!

I have been working on this for weeks, pulling together the menu, and all the details to make this happen! It was such a fun, festive Christmas!

Here is our StampersPlus Team who attended, Kalea (our future demonstrator), Jessie, Bev, Susanna, and me (Liz).

We all get along very well, and most of all we are great friends.  Life without these girls would be so dull in life.  I am so glad they are on my team.  We had so much laughs and just catching up with the stories told.

The hit was these Ginger Orange Glazed Chicken Wings.  If you are looking for a new taste, you got to try this.  This is for a large group (20 pp) but can be scaled down.
2-1/2 cups frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed and undiluted
3/4 cup lemon juice
1-1/4 cups hoisin sauce
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1-1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup minced peeled ginger
15 cloves fresh garlic, minced
10 lbs chicken wings
15 medium green onions, thinly sliced
  1. In a large, resealable bag, mix the orange juice concentrate, lemon juice, hoisin sauce, vegetable oil, sugar, ginger, and fresh garlic. Add chicken wings, seal, and shake to coat evening.  Refrigerate overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Line your cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Pour marinating sauce out.  Spread wings on parchment paper and bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and shiny.  Transfer to serving platter and garnish with green onions.

These were so delicious that there were no leftovers.

I wish I can show you all the pictures, but I didn’t want to get you too bored.  Here is the menu:

Shrimp Ring
Spring Rolls
Ginger Orange Glazed Chicken Wings

Boston Baked Beans
Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes
Beans & Carrots
Roast Pork with Maple & Mustard Glaze
Macaroni & Cheese

Apple Pie
Ice Cream
Red/White Wine

If you are interested in joining StamperPlus Team, come and join us.  Send me an email and I will tell you more about it.  The next great time to join in is during the Sale-A-Bration scheduled for January 25, 2011.

Ok, you are probably anxious to see what our swaps were.  Here they are:

Me (Liz)

Every year I try to get the girls something handmade.  Each who attended received a personalized card stand with a flower.  It is a way to say thank you for being part of the StampersPlus Team.  I won’t get into the “Recipes” for each card but if you need the colors, papers, accessories used, please PM me and I will get the information to you.

Oh … in the end, Mr. Stitch was all tuckered out.  Kalea played hard with him.

Happy Holidays All!

At Last … Christmas Card Class Done

Hi everyone,

Well my last of the Christmas card class just finished yesterday.  Here is a recap of what we made.

Although they were intimidated by the wreath and the swing cards, they all finished the 9 cards smiling and looking forward to making these cards for next year.

As I wrap up card making, I now have another task to attend, which is our annual Team  Christmas Party which is happening next Saturday.  I have the menu all figured out, now just have to do the shopping and the cooking.  I am looking forward to having the girls and their families over.  It is going to be a rock n’ roll Christmas party!

I do have a card to show you today.  I have seen so many awning cards, so I had to make one.  This will be featured at my club card class at work.

I apologize for the images, but these were the best ones.  The lighting is not the greatest as this was shot inside the house.

Back to Posting

Good morning everyone,

I’m back to blogging … after 5  weekends in a row of craft shows, I am beat!  I do admit, it was all great but whether it was worth spending every weekend at craft shows, yes and no.  The YES part was getting customers and turning over stocks.  The NO part is that I missing out with the family and friends, and to be able to create and just enjoying the things I love to do … Stamping and Scrapbooking and FAMILY.  I know for a fact that I will be cutting down next year 3 to 4 craft shows for the year is ample for me and still maintain my sanity.

Today, is basically cleaning up and putting away the craft show items, so no new post as of yet.  Although I don’t have anything show you right now, check this promotion.  Promotion dates: December 17, 2010 – January 24, 2011
