Another Pop Up!

Ok, I couldn’t resist … after playing with the birthday cake dies with the girls last night, I had to create this morning.  I knew what I was going to make for Jordan’s friend, Stephen … (Brenda … don’t spoil the surprise for him) for his upcoming birthday party next week.

Stephen was at scout camp this weekend.  I created this card using the Under the Stars stamp set which is a perfect setting of camping.  The bears were masked and watercolored.  I used the Manhattan DP for the background to give it a masculine look.  It was then matted onto Sage Shadow CS and onto Close to Cocoa CS.  Size of the card is 6 x 6.

Here is the inside …  I continue to follow the Under the Stars stamp set (racoon), plus I intergrated with the Loads of  Love as I wanted to show you how versatile our stamp sets can be.  I didn’t have any funky trees / bushes so I created the bushes using the scallop punch … be sure to SAVE all your REMNANTS … that is all I used for the inside of on this card.  The tree trunk was just using a strip of remnant brown to give its height.  The grass on the bottom of the tiered cake is covered in sage shadow CS, cut into strips to give the grassy look and then applying it onto the bottom of the cake.

Here is the complete card inside. The “Birthday” is from the It’s Your Birthday stamp set.  Rather than inking the “Happy”, I only inked the “birthday” in basic black ink, and then added the “grreat!” at a slant.  I will be putting a gift card just behind the sentiment to hold the gift card.

Hope you like it.  I really enjoyed stamping this morning but I have to start cleaning the basement from yesterday’s Stamp-a-thon, and not only that feed my kids.  Oh what a bad mom!  NOT!  Always playing. LOL.

Thanks for looking ~ Liz
