As we continue to celebrate National Scrapbooking Month, I thought this week would be a great week to show you some of my scrapbook pages that I have done in the past. I hope you enjoy them! Please feel free to comment as I always wonder who looks at my blog. To date, I can’t believe that I had 6000+ hits, and I just starting this blog in early March 2009. I know you are out there, and it would so nice to hear from you all.
Anyways, I thought I would start out with these two page layouts.
We were in Hawaii one year with our friends “The Erickson” family. I had taken these pictures when my boys were surfing the waves. Back then, I did not have a digital camera and relied on my photography skills … not so bad but some shots were too small to see … but it is a good thing and I wanted to show you what to do with them. I did not like throwing pictures away and somehow I had to figure out how to use them. So I took my Sizzix die cut alphabets to cut out their images within their names, ensuring that I capture them somewhere in the cutouts. The die cuts were placed on the photos to ensure that their image is within and used them as my title.
Here is a close up. Sorry for the blur, but you get the gist.
I found that by matting my pictures, it gives you the focal points. I finished the pages off with 3-D accents that I was able to locate at one of the local Hawaiian scrapbook stores (surf board and the waves).
Papers: Night of Navy, Only Orange
Sizzix: Alphabet Dies
Thanks for looking. I look forward to hearing from all of you ~ Liz
