This card was created for my brother-in-law who just turned 45 on Thursday (April 8, 2010). I didn’t have any masculine stamps, so I used the Older & Wiser stamp set (retired), together with the 2009 In Color combinations (Tangerine Tango and Soft Suede. I chose the turtle because as we get older, we seem to get slower. I watercolored the turtle, and added crystal effect to give the raised look.
Here is the whole card.
Although there are no 45 candles on the inside of the card, I stamped and popped the candles up to give it a little “umf”. Behind the top candle, we rolled up $100 bill for him (not shown). This was a neat way to hold any kind of money.
My brother-in-law (Tony) is always fascinated with my handmade cards. Always analyzing to see how I made it. I’m surprise that he does not take it apart and put it back again. Of course, his girlfriend, Corinna, would never allow him to do that!
