Band Aid

I was in need a get well card today, as my girlfriend Vivian got hurt while riding her bike.  Nothing too serious, thank goodness.  We were in an all Ladies Only Mountain Biking Class, and last night was our last one.  We were at SFU trail doing our class.  There were some roots, rocks, A-frames, jumps, and “skinnies” which is a bunch of 2×4 lined up to make a long ramp.  She lost control of her bike when she was on the skinnies.  Vivian thought she would be ok but ended up landing on a stump which had a big knot coming out.  I didn’t see her go down.  By the time I came around the corner she catching her breath and in shock.

I did hear from her today … Cracked couple of ribs.  Ouch!

I starting using Michelle Singer’s template but had trouble with the big shot.  The indentation did not come out as I would like to so I improvised.  I made this band aid into a card.  It is measured at 5 1/2 x 2 1/2. Sponged the edges with creamy caramel and the center square is cut at 1 1/2 x 1 1/2.  Poked holes alternating them, and sponged again with creamy caramel.

The inside, I decided to make the card so that it shows the underside of the band aid.
